Storyline:

Lionel Pembroke, a former table tennis champion and agoraphobic, hasn’t left the house in ten years. When his pet bird Norman gets sick he contacts Belinda, a Pet Psychic, to come to his rescue. Belinda diagnoses a double case of depression after learning that Lionel is still bitter after losing out on a gold medal in the 1989 table tennis championships, and explains that his bird is mirroring Lionel’s behaviour. To solve the problem she brings Lionel a surprise; she recreates the final match with Chin Ho Yong, the man who won gold from Lionel. The chance has come for Lionel to compete in the game he has played over and over again in his mind for the last 25 years and they play into the night. The next morning Lionel takes Norman for a walk and it’s only then that we learn Chin Ho Yong isn’t what he seems.
